dougism

I love that I married such a down to earth, happy-go-lucky, determined, brainy, hard working man.  However, fashion just has never been his strong point.  For those of you who are lucky enough to know my Douger, you know he has his own sense of style. He is loyal to the tee shirt and jeans look. The "Snowboarding makes me happy"tee has become his soul mate. However, I think that chumming with too many "sophisticated doctors" has helped him to see the light beyond his Quicksilver tee shirts.  He said to me the other night, "...that was back in my tee shirt days.  Now I just buy meaningful shirts; like Baylor shirts."

I wasn't aware those days were behind us, but...Now that his tee shirts days are over (except for his 10+ Baylor shirts that made the fashion cut)  I am looking forward to see what fashion trends he will keep.  And honey, scrubs do not count.

And one or two more words about D.S. Lewis. I fell in love with him 11 years ago this month. And in a blink of an eye...I found myself plucking gray hairs out of his head today.  I am so happy we are now planting trees and making a home and family together.

Cute post. I laughed out loud thinking about you plucking away at Doug's head. That picture made it up quick!

This made me laugh. But I do hope hope when he is a famous Dr. saving the world that he still will wear non-stylish clothes... just think of House :)
I also think its fun the way love evolves and changes and grows... like a tree. So a perfect picture :)
And-we need to get together soon.

This is awesome. Taylor has the same struggle. :)

Yeah for high school sweethearts! Rob and I were just talking about how cool it is that we almost have a decade of memories together.

Oh that is so cute Annie! That is so cool that it all worked out and you have all your high school romance to reminisce about! And I feel better about Drew now, knowing that there is someone else out there who prefers the high school look to the professional one. Drew has those shorts Doug is wearing.

I think Doug and my hubs Mike (who I am convinced would have been friends with Doug and that whole group had he gone to Highland) were co-conspirators in heaven, deciding how long they would torture their wives with silly t-shirts.
This much is surely possible. I'm just waiting for my husband to mingle with "sophisticated types" so he will ask me to help him with his wardrobe. :)

from one T-shirt and scrubs person to another: stay strong Doug! Don't let Annie make you fashionable. Being comfortable is way better.
