The Rearranger

Callin is obsessed with walking. He has recently taken 2 and 3 steps on his own, but as you can see he is majorly in the pushing phase. My chairs are constantly scattered throughout the kitchen.

Lucky for me I actually can get quite a bit done! (That is when I am not capturing every 2 minutes on the camera!)

Latest Project

Here is my latest project. It included finding this frame at 40% off because it had missing glass (which I didn't need for embroidery anyway), spray painting the frames black, and the stitching. I finished it up watching American Idol tonight...
By the way, I voted for my 1st time! (Brooke White of course!) I was always afraid of the phone lines being busy, etc., but it was so easy. Who votes that 3 nights is a little much? Thank heavens for TiVo and skipping through the boring parts.

Baby Food

So I got brave and decided to try making homemade baby food. For a couple bucks - about $3, I can feed Callin for a couple weeks!! (As opposed to the $0.50 jars two times a day he normally goes through.) While it is definitely the cheaper method, it did take about 2 hours to steam, puree, and get the veggies ready for the freezer. Hopefully next time will be much quicker now that I know what I am doing!
Here are the finished cubes of yams, carrots, and butternut squash. I almost think they are too beautiful to eat!

PS. Thanks Paola for my produce!

8 Month Pictures

I finally took Callin in for some professional pictures. They turned out pretty cute! Click here to see them. (Don't mind my hands in the pictures...they zoomed and cropped those right out!)

Book Worms

Callin has inherited his mom and dad's love for books! We spend 10 minutes probably 3 times a day going through books. This touch and feel farm book is always his favorite.
I would love to know any good books you are reading and you can check out my
latest picks on my shelf on the side. Or if you want to join a really fun book club- let me know!
(Unfortunately the 2 classes I am taking are slowing down my leisure reading time!)
