Go Cougars!

Yesterday was a sad day for Annie and happy day for Doug: the start of College football. There goes our Saturdays for the next many months!

Doug was elated to have a son to share the kick off BYU game with!

Here are two of the cutest future cougars- Callin and Christopher Cardon (son of Paul and Raeanna)! They thoroughly enjoyed watching the cougars victory!

"Tending" the Lewis'

Doug and I spend the last week over at his parents house while they were in Tahiti for their anniversary. It is quite comical- but we were asked to tend or better said "chaperon" his siblings: Ben his twin- 24, Diana- 20, CJ-19, Jennie-14, and Ed- 11ish. We had a great time together. Doug loved pretending to be the dad!

not so much painting...a little more posing

Cal had his first real laugh- absolutely darling!

CJ stepped in for Nerd Daddy Daughter night at mutual.

Practicing his cooking skills

Doug is always trying to get sleeping pictures- finally he succeeded.
It was a great week. Happy Anniversary to Mom and Dad Lewis.

More Time to Play

I am so excited! I finally finished the Independent Study class I was taking- "Classroom Management Strategies." I don't know that I have ever been more disciplined. I didn't start any book during this time because I knew I wouldn't have the desire to do my homework if I did. Here is my pile of books to start and 3 more came from Amazon today!

This is a good time to let anyone in the Gilbert area know that I am starting a book club! First meeting will be Thursday September 13th. Let me know if you are interested and I will email you the scoop.
With my new found freedom I have also enjoyed:

1. Outings to IKEA with my sisters (and Last Chance with Doug, but no pictures)

I highly recommend the Sweetish Meatballs if you have never tasted them! (Aimee is behind the camera- I'm sorry she is not in this picture!)

This picture was taken shortly before we lost Ava and Olivia...They were found by a worker back where all the fork lifts are in the gated area.

and 2. More time to play with my boys!

10 weeks old today!

Cal's Coos

Callin has really started talking the past 2 weeks. Here is a little cooing for your viewing pleasure!

A House of Boys

As many of you know, we are living at my parents house for the year. (They are on a mission in Mozambique.) My sister Ali and her family are also current residents. This entry is dedicated to all the boys in the house and ALL the craziness.

DAGEN (center) and DOUG (left)- they are attempting to do a Polynesian chant at Brent's birthday party!

Going down the line- SAWYER. He started first grade yesterday. Hooray for a quiet house! He is a serious Lego Maniac and LOVES to play the piano.

Next- SILAS (center). He lives to play "puter " (computer) games.

Almost done- JONAS or better known as Jo-jo. He adores Callin! Unfortunately he only knows how to show his affection by attacking Callin with excitement. (There have been many battle wounds as a result.)

And last but not least- CALLIN. Today he celebrates his 2 month birthday!

Mohawks and More!

This was Callin's first time in overalls and I thought he looked too cute not to publish him! Callin is balding big time lately on the sides of his head. As a result he is often sporting a mohawk! Below is a darling picture of Jack-Jack and Callin after Callin's first swim. (Jack's got the mohawk look going as well!)

He loves the warm water! (Naturally heated by the good ol' Arizona sun.)
